Born from a desire to be closer to loved ones, The Hudson Inn has evolved into a premier destination offering hospitality, dining, and event services all under one roof.
The inspiration behind The Hudson Inn came from a personal place. When the owner’s daughter moved to the area, the need to be closer to family became the driving force behind this endeavor. What started as a passion project turned into a fully realized business, breathing new life into a salvaged space to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all who visit. The name itself, The Hudson Inn, carries personal significance—it comes from the owner’s last name, Dan Hudson, symbolizing the deep family connection embedded in the business’s foundation.
The Hudson Inn is built on a simple yet powerful philosophy: providing white-glove service to the blue-collar community. Whether you’re a traveler, a local, or someone looking for the perfect event space, the Hudson Inn ensures a welcoming environment with top-tier amenities accessible to everyone.
Since officially opening on March 9, 2023, The Hudson Inn has been on an extraordinary journey. Initially launching with 25 rooms, the goal was to expand to 60 for the owner’s daughter’s wedding reception in August. However, nature had other plans. In July, a storm with 110 mph winds tore off the roof, devastating the newly renovated rooms. Though it was a significant setback, insurance provided the means to rebuild—not just to recover, but to grow. The team worked tirelessly, and by August, the event space and rooms were ready just in time for the wedding. Since then, The Hudson Inn has expanded to 90 rooms, a bar and grill serving burgers and fresh pizza, and A Taste of Italy, an authentic Italian restaurant known for its high-quality, affordable cuisine. Crissy D’s Cakery has recently joined the family, bringing freshly baked, high-end pastries and custom cakes to the lobby for guests and special events.
The Hudson Inn prides itself on being a true one-stop destination. Guests can enjoy comfortable accommodations, delicious dining, and event hosting in one location—eliminating the need to travel elsewhere for different services. Whether it’s a relaxing getaway, a business trip, or a wedding celebration, The Hudson Inn offers everything needed for a seamless experience.
While The Hudson Inn’s growth has been remarkable, the owner’s proudest achievement isn’t just in the expansion—it’s in the people who have helped make it a success. The staff has become a second family from event planner Lizette Muller to the dedicated cleaning, kitchen, and back-office teams. Their commitment and hard work have been the backbone of The Hudson Inn’s success.
The journey to success has been guided by valuable advice from Cheryl Kuhn of the Stevens County Economic Development team. Her expertise and business insight played a crucial role in securing the property and turning the vision of The Hudson Inn into reality.
Exciting things are on the horizon for The Hudson Inn. With the recent addition of A Taste of Italy and Crissy D’s Cakery, guests now have even more dining options. But the expansion doesn’t stop there—plans are underway to construct a new driveway and parking lot this summer, enhancing both accessibility and aesthetics for visitors.
