For generations, Lake Region Healthcare’s Morris Medical Center has been a cornerstone of healthcare in the community, evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of patients while remaining steadfast in its mission: “We partner to enrich life through health.” With a strong foundation built on excellence, integrity, collaboration, and innovation, the clinic continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care for individuals and families.
The clinic’s story is one of growth and commitment. Rooted in the vision of Dr. Stock, it has expanded over the years, adapting to advances in medicine and the needs of the region. A pivotal moment in this journey was its partnership with Lake Region Healthcare, which has allowed for a broader network of expert providers, expanded specialties, and increased access to essential healthcare services. While much has changed, the clinic’s dedication to person-centered care remains unwavering.
Lake Region Healthcare’s Morris Medical Center offers both a primary care clinic and an outpatient surgery center. Patients of all ages receive comprehensive family medicine services, from well-baby exams and child checkups to DOT physicals, chronic care management, and women’s health services. The clinic also provides an onsite laboratory and X-ray services, as well as direct-access lab testing without a physician’s order for certain tests. In addition, specialists from the Lake Region Healthcare team regularly see patients at the Morris Medical Center, including an orthopedic surgeon, an interventional radiologist, a foot and ankle podiatrist, and a registered dietitian.
Beyond providing healthcare, Lake Region Healthcare is deeply invested in the well-being of the local community. One of its most significant recent advancements is the transition to the Epic medical record system and the introduction of the “MyChart” app. This innovation allows patients to manage their medical records, schedule appointments, receive reminders, communicate with their care team, and even access telehealth services—all from the convenience of their phone or computer.
Looking ahead, exciting changes are on the horizon. This summer, Danielle Lesmeister, a longtime leader within the organization, will transition into her new role as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. A Morris native, Danielle has been part of the leadership team since 2017 and recently pursued certification as a nurse practitioner with a focus on psychiatry. The clinic is thrilled that she has chosen to continue her journey with Lake Region Healthcare, serving patients in both Morris and Elbow Lake.
