Accordion Bookmaking Class with Phyllis Joos
April 9, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join the Morris Public Library for this special event as part of the NEA Big Read, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
Join artist Phyllis Joos in constructing a mini accordion book. Accordion books have origins in China and are composed of a continuous sheet of folded paper. Your book will be contained in a sturdy cover made of bookboard that you will get to embellish and then fill with your favorite drawings, writings, or anything else your creative side desires. The accordion book is a useful format that can be looked at page by page or made to stand up on its own for display.
Free and open to all ages.
This event will take place in the Morris Public Library meeting room.
