Mark your calendars for Saturday\, July 10\, 2021! \nWe received a grant through the Lake Region Arts Council to provide a community-building event centered around the notions of making\, artistic experiences\, and healthy communities. \nHere is a taste of what’s to come! \n– Demonstration of how to paint a barn quilt at the museum \n– Unveiling of the new Stevens County mural at the museum \n– Rock painting and fluid painting through the Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance (PRCA) in East Side Park \n– Samples of local food at Stone’s Throw Café \n– Card making classes at the museum \n– Music by local musicians at East Side Park \n– An exhibition by Michael Weatherly at the PRCA gallery \n– A community mural painting project behind Stone’s Throw Café \n– Take-and-make sun prints kits from the Morris Public Library \n– A farmers market on the lawn in front of the library (Sign up online to have a booth!) \n– Demonstration of using pastels by artist Faythe Mills at the PRCA gallery \n– A knitting circle in East Side Park \n– Art vendors in East Side Park (Sign up online to have an artist booth!) \n– A reception for the art exhibit\, Horizontal Grandeur\, at the museum (7-8pm) \n– Music on the museum lawn (6-7pm) \n– And MORE!
