SUMMARY:Oil Seeds and Soil Needs Field Day
DESCRIPTION:The North Central Soil Conservation Research Laboratory (Soils Lab) invites you to a Summer Field Day at the Swan Lake Research Farm.   \nOn-site demonstrations and talks about the research progress on oilseed crop agronomy\, how they improve soil health\, and how the Soils Lab is working to benefit the community.   \nThe day begins at 9 a.m. at the Soils Lab\, 803 Iowa Avenue\, and we’ll catch a bus to the research farm.  There will be 3\, 30-minute talks on *Soil Health & Climate Change; *USDA-ARS Ongoing Research\, and *Cropping Systems and Rotation.   \nA complimentary lunch will be provided at noon by our stakeholder support group\, the Barnes-Aastad Soil and Water Conservation Research Association.

DESCRIPTION:Fiber Arts Workshop Series with Lori Kurpiers\n4 sessions\, 5:30-7:30pm\n       Tuesday\, June 6 – Crochet\n       Thursday\, June 8 – Knitting\n       Wednesday\, June 14 – Sewing\n       Thurs\, June 15 – Weaving\nFor children (ages 9+) and adults. Space is limited\, pre-register.\nThis four-part fiber arts workshop series will demystify sewing\, crochet\, knitting\, and weaving by teaching basic skills in each art form. With support from Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance (PRCA).\nThis program is sponsored by Morris Public Library and Viking Library System. This project was funded in part or in whole with monies from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
