DESCRIPTION:University of Minnesota Morris Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Liberal Arts\, Dr. José Lezcano will present a concert  featuring his compositions\, performed in collaboration with UMN Morris faculty performers Ann DuHamel (piano); Ming Hui-Lin (flute); Denise Odello (Cor anglais); Jarod Bendele (percussion); and Laura Wiebe (soprano). \nCurrently\, as Professor Emeritus and Lecturer in Music at Keene State College\, José teaches and coordinates the guitar program\, and courses in Latin American music.  He was honored by the Keene Sentinel for his contributions to the Arts in the Monadnock Region with a 2016 Ewing Award\, and since 2018 serves as an elected member of the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts\, where he advocates for New Hampshire’s creative communities.

Look for a white tent on the grassy lawn on the west side of SCMC (by the new Shipping/Receiving and Urgent & Respiratory Care Clinic.) \nIf you have plants or perennials you would like to donate to the event please contact Beth at 320-760-2596. In the event of inclement weather\, the sale will be moved to the SCMC patio by the NovaCare entrance off of First Street. Ten Adventures through West Central Minnesota”.  The Story Walk will bring the pages of the book to life.  Families with children birth to age 5 will receive a copy of the book to take home.
